A few weeks ago, we packed up the car and headed out to spend a morning at the pumpkin patch! We couldn’t have picked a better day to venture outside to spend hours picking out the perfect pumpkins. Olive ran from pumpkin to pumpkin, pointing and laughing. The odd time she had to sit down and take a rest on a big pumpkin. Other times she tried with all her might to pick them up, but they were just too heavy (until she found the pie pumpkins)!
By noon, we picked 2 big perfect pumpkins and 4 tiny pie pumpkins. Olive was running around in circles, showing everyone her picks. The entire drive home we talked about the pumpkins. We talked about Halloween. We talked about what we were going to carve and where we were going to put the pumpkins.
I love this time of year. I love the cooling temperature. I love the changing trees. I love seeing how pumpkins bring so much excitement to my daughter’s eyes. It’s the simple things that mean the most!
As for what we carved… You’ll have to scroll down to find out!
